BLANKETS $40/ HAVE BEEN SOLD OUT

New Clipper fleece blanket available. Approximately 62"x50" (not counting the fringe). Two layers for extra warmth. Bottom layer in red.
New Angels fleece blanket. Approximately 56"x48" (not counting the fringe). Bottom layer is white.

TOMMY'S TRUCK COMING TO KEPPEL

The Parent Committee will be pre-selling Tommy's Burgers hamburgers starting this week.

The truck will be on campus on December 3 @ 1:30. This will be a Collaboration Day and school will end at 12:59.

Don't forget to purchase your pre-sale ticket and help support your Grad Night event.

THE DAY OF THE BOUTIQUE


We started out at 8am. The Boutique would open at 10. A lot of planning went into this, a lot of hard work. We saw many of you there. Thank you to all for your support. This weekend brought us a little closer to our financial goals but we still have a long way to go. A big MAHALO (thank you) to Irene Jong for allowing us to be a part of this event. Also thanks to the Shoshoni girls who took turns selling our goods throughout the room. 3pm came soon enough and we packed up and headed on home to start working on the next fundraiser.

COOKIES FOR SALE

Sorry but I forgot to bring my camera to cookie pack up. Thank you to all of the supporters who generously donated to our cookie collection. We were amazed at the assortment. Thank you also to the ASB kids who helped with our assembly line.

We presold over 200 boxes! Whew!

KOI KRAFTERS HOLIDAY BOUTIQUE






The Grad Night Committee will have a table at the annual Koi Krafters Holiday Boutique on Saturday November 22, 2008 between 10am and 3pm. The event will feature Asian inspired hand-crafted items for sale. We will be selling a variety of stocking-stuffer stationery items as well as leis for your holiday shopping. We're having a party at SHAKEY'S PIZZA to raise funds for the Senior Grad Night. SHAKEY'S PIZZA will donate 25% of your food purchases, including your take-out orders. Ralph's Community Contribution Program

Just a reminder if you haven't already done so or if you did it before August:

Please register/re-register your Ralph's card so that the Mark Keppel High School PTSA (designated for Grad Night 2009) will be able to get money back from your purchases. Remember-it doesn't cost you anything. The term begins 9/1/08 and ends 8/31/09. The more you spend, the more we get back.

You just need the following information before you register your card: NPO Number is 83605 and your card number.

Grad Night Meeting July 9, 2008

Thank you to the Talbots for hosting the Grad Night Parent Meeting on July 9, 2008.

Thank you also to Cyndi, Carol, and Lila for their guidance. They expressed some concerns that the Parent Committee will need to followup on.

The discussion continues as we explore the different venues. As mentioned in the previous blog, the survey of students will be used as a GUIDELINE in determining the final venue. There are several factors that require approval/consideration before that venue is finalized.

Parents present signed up for different tasks. Jill Gussman has agreed to Chair the event but is looking for someone to assist. Jim Kawahara will setup the spreadsheet and will work as Co-Treasurer.

You or your senior's service toward Grad Night earns PTSA Community Service Hours. Document your volunteer hours.

Many fundrasing opportunities were discussed which included cookie sales, dinner, craft show participation during November (preferably kids, clothing, decor gift item to make & sell), bowlathon, Cherry Blossom, In 'n Out, etc.

Grad Night '09 Meeting 5-01-08

Attention MKHS Class of '09 and Parents:

Please be on the lookout for Flyers announcing the Grad Night 2009 Celebration.
We will try to get the flyers to you with the Senior Registration Packet.
Parents please remember to sign up to volunteer and students remember to register for the festivities.

A survey will be conducted sometime during the month of May. Students will be given the opportunity of voting for their Grad Night Event. The GN'09 parent committee met to discuss several possible venues. The options will be made available on the survey. Just a reminder that Disneyland will not be one of the choices as Disneyland Grad Nights are now only scheduled on one Thursday night in June.

Parents, please help us plan this event. Your voice and ideas are most welcome.
