Grad Night Meeting July 9, 2008

Thank you to the Talbots for hosting the Grad Night Parent Meeting on July 9, 2008.

Thank you also to Cyndi, Carol, and Lila for their guidance. They expressed some concerns that the Parent Committee will need to followup on.

The discussion continues as we explore the different venues. As mentioned in the previous blog, the survey of students will be used as a GUIDELINE in determining the final venue. There are several factors that require approval/consideration before that venue is finalized.

Parents present signed up for different tasks. Jill Gussman has agreed to Chair the event but is looking for someone to assist. Jim Kawahara will setup the spreadsheet and will work as Co-Treasurer.

There are still numerous jobs that need to be filled and we are still seeking volunteers.

You or your senior's service toward Grad Night earns PTSA Community Service Hours. Document your volunteer hours.

Many fundrasing opportunities were discussed which included cookie sales, dinner, craft show participation during November (preferably kids, clothing, decor gift item to make & sell), bowlathon, Cherry Blossom, In 'n Out, etc.

PLEASE JOIN US AT THE NEXT MEETING AS WE CONTINUE IN OUR PURSUIT OF THAT SPECIAL GRAD NIGHT EVENT!

The MKHS PTSA Senior Committee is participating in Ralph's Market community contribution program.

If you have a Ralph's Rewards Card and you're not already participating, or if your participation has expired, please follow the instructions below:

Enroll your Ralph's Rewards Card

Or call 1-800-443-4438 to learn about the alternative sign-up method.

Each time you use your Rewards Card at Ralph's markets, MKHS PTSA will get a percentage of your qualified purchases. After each quarter, our organization will receive a check for that amount.

The check will be deposited to the PTSA account but designated to the Senior Grad Night Committee.

This fundraiser won't cost you anything to participate, but may help in providing additional funds for our Grad Night Event. Don't delay and register your card today!
